Serials Solutions, a US-based provider of tools and services for libraries and a business unit of ProQuest LLC, has announced that Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands has adopted Serials Solutions Summon web-scale discovery service, along with 360 Link open URL resolver and 360 Resource Manager for e-resource management.
The Summon service was selected by Fontys' library because it is easy to use, and provides students with a single-search box to access the library's vast breadth of resources, no matter where they are physically located. In addition, with the integration of 360 Link, users will have easy access to the full-text items contained within Fontys' library's databases and e-resources.
With more than 38,000 students, Fontys claims to be one of the largest universities in the Netherlands. For all students and staff the Fontys Library provides on- and offline information- and media services from 15 library locations and one digital branch, fontysmediatheek.nl.
