The Optical Society (OSA) has announced that Alison Taylor has joined the OSA Publishing staff as executive editor, where she will manage a portfolio of OSA journals, including its newest journal, Optica, which is set to publish its first issue in July. Taylor will oversee all aspects of Optica, as well as the Journal of the Optical Society of America A, the Journal of the Optical Society of America B, Advances in Optics and Photonics, and Optical Materials Express.
Prior to joining OSA, Taylor was director, editorial development for AIP Publishing, where she was responsible for product development and expansion, content creation, market research and analysis, and editorial strategy and operations for several AIP journals.
