The American Society of Business Publication Editors has awarded life sciences journal The Scientist the Azbee Award for 'Magazine of the Year.' The 'Magazine of the Year' award recognises magazines for excellence in writing, reporting and editing; editorial organisation; layout and design; value to readers; and interaction with readers.
The judge evaluated three consecutive issues to ensure a consistency in quality and awarded The Scientist the best magazine in the 'under 80,000 circulation' category. The publication also won the Gold Azbee Award in the Special Supplement category for its 'Schizophrenia' supplement.
The Scientist seeks to provide compelling print and online coverage of the latest developments in the life sciences including research, technology and business. The journal is available through a print subscription and on select newsstands. The online magazine, including a 20 year archive, interactive extras and community, can be found at the-scientist.com.
