The Society for Scholarly Publishing has announced the appointment of Madelyn Stone as Membership Administrator. She will be responsible for administering SSP’s customer support and database management, as well as membership retention and acquisition strategies. Her position is the frontline of communication with current members, prospective members, and program participants and is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the society’s data.
Madelyn comes to SSP with a background in academic research, education, and community organizing. Her career in scholarly publishing began with the University of Wisconsin Press, where she served as the editorial and administrative coordinator for the journal African Economic History and led initiatives to grow the journal’s brand recognition and optimize partner communications.
A practiced project coordinator, Madelyn has previously worked with program directors to strategically develop outreach plans that encourage engagement and community reciprocity.
