Libraries in the University of North Carolina system have chosen Alma as a central solution for resource sharing and affordability initiatives.
As part of its transition to Ex Libris library platforms, UNC will implement: Alma and Primo; Leganto, Ex Libris’s course resource management system; Library Mobile, Ex Libris’s integrated mobile library app and Rapido, Ex Libris’s interlibrary loan system.
Alma will help us build upon shared commitments to system-wide resource sharing, the collective research environment, textbook affordability and collections efficiency. By 2027, twelve of the seventeen UNC campuses will implement this innovative suite, allowing the remaining schools more time to consider possible timelines for transition.
