Library automation services Ex Libris Group has announced that the University of Sussex is replacing its library management system with the Alma® unified resource management service from Ex Libris.
Tightly integrated with the Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution, which the University implemented in 2013, Alma will provide the Library with a future-oriented solution for the acquisition and fulfilment of electronic, digital, and print resources. Flexible and open, the Alma service will interact efficiently with other internal and third-party systems.
Founded in 1961, the University of Sussex is among the leading research universities in the UK, with 98 percent of its research rated as world leading, internationally excellent, or internationally recognized (Research Excellence Framework 2014). The University was ranked 14th in the UK, 43rd in Europe and 111th in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2014-15.
