Thieme announces latest edition of guide to brain-based communication and cognitive disorders -

STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, has announced the publication of the fourth edition of Aphasia and Related Neurogenic Language Disorders, a definitive guide to brain-based communication and cognitive disorders.

Aphasia and Related Neurogenic Language Disorders presents the latest management techniques for brain-based communication disorders that often result in speech and writing impairment. Because of the developments in technology pertaining to communication methods, a wealth of new chapters, illustrations and sidebars have been added to distinguish this text from its previous editions.

In addition a chapter on brain basics and a chapter on managing communication disorders in a hospital setting complete the text. New test questions and case studies have also been added. The authors present a modern approach that goes beyond conventional assessment and treatment by integrating contemporary cultural, linguistic, and quality-of-life concerns.
