Thieme announces two major updates to the 'Thieme Dissector' -

STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, has announced two major updates to the 'Thieme Dissector' allowing for ad-hoc updates of already customised Dissection Guides.

'Thieme Dissector' now contains more than 100 high-resolution dissection videos for all regions of the body. Links for the videos have been inserted in the latest version of the base Dissector, which is available on the customisation site for faculty at dissector.thieme.com.

There's also a re-publish functionality for faculty to update and re-publish an existing customised Dissector to a class of students, as many times as they like. Students will automatically see the updated version when accessing their 'Thieme Dissector' online.

The 'Thieme Dissector' is organised by body region and into 90 dissection modules, featuring text, images, and pop-ups. Instructors can reorder the sequence of modules and completely customise the text to match their preferences on how to dissect and what structures to identify. Instructors can also choose to include pop-ups showing muscle attachment, innervation and action in great detail. Students will benefit from the stunning, high-quality illustrations, adapted from the 'Atlas of Anatomy' by Gilroy et al.

Institutions are able to subscribe to the 'Thieme Dissector' for their faculty and students on a rolling annual basis. Students can access their instructor's customised dissection guide online, download it to their computers, view it on iPads or iPhones, or simply print it out.
