STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, has announced that the re-launched Thieme E-Book Library platform is now COUNTER compliant. With this addition to the online library, institutions can now obtain statistical data to monitor online usage that is based on international standards and protocols and supported by libraries, publishers, intermediaries, and professional organisations.
The relaunched Thieme E-Book Library has been reviewed by COUNTER and found to be compliant with the COUNTER specifications for the collection of usage data. This ensures that libraries will have access to accurate statistics regarding their users' usage of the Thieme E-book Library.
The Thieme E-Book Library is a continuously expanding online resource containing books on anatomy, the clinical sciences, radiology and the basic sciences. Through this service, individual users have the ability to download any book to their personal computer's desktop for offline viewing even when no internet connection is available.
