Thieme journal Facial Plastic Surgery set to publish original research -

STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, has announced that its peer-reviewed journal Facial Plastic Surgery will be publishing original research papers in addition to its widely acclaimed review articles beginning in 2012.

Facial Plastic Surgery is a peer-reviewed journal covering topic-specific issues on areas of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery relating to the head, neck, and face. It is the official journal of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. Contributing authors provide a global perspective on each topic and critically evaluate recent works in the field. Published six times a year, the journal's scope includes issues devoted to scar revision, periorbital and mid-face rejuvenation, facial trauma, facial implants, rhinoplasty, neck reconstruction, cleft palate, face lifts, as well as various other emerging minimally invasive procedures.

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts based on original research for specific topics that have been selected for upcoming issues and thus benefit from the journal’s significant readership and increasing Impact Factor. Topics will include nuances of the nasal tip, complications in facial plastic surgery, revision rhinoplasty, and much more.

To facilitate this new development within Facial Plastic Surgery, Thieme has launched a new online manuscript system - http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fps. Authors are encouraged to submit their papers for specific issues via this portal.
