Thieme Publishers, part of STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, has announced that the Cerefy Atlas of Cerebral Vasculature has received the Magna Cum Laude Scientific Exhibition Award from the American Society of Neuroradiology. The award was presented during the ASNR's 47th Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The Cerefy Atlas of Cerebral Vasculature CD-ROM is an interactive electronic atlas correlating 3D vasculature with surface and sectional anatomy of the human brain. Constructed from multiple magnetic resonance scans, it is widely considered the most comprehensive, detailed and sophisticated cerebrovascular atlas. It also includes linked reference material from Thieme books. It assists clinicians, residents, and students in neuroanatomy, neuroradiology, neurosurgery and neurology who are learning, researching or planning to treat the brain and its vasculature.
The American Society of Neuroradiology is a professional membership society that aims to develop and support standards for the training of neuroradiologists and for the practice of neuroradiology. The organisation promotes an understanding of the field among patients, other healthcare professionals and public agencies and enhances communication with these groups.
