STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, has announced the launch of Pharmaceutical Substances Version 3.3. Available via Thieme-connect, Pharmaceutical Substances is projected as a comprehensive reference guide to every significant pharmaceutical compound and includes syntheses, patents and applications of all FDA approved active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
Twenty recently approved APIs have been added to the latest version of the information resource, bringing the total of APIs to 2500. Recent additions include the LH-RH antagonist Degarelix, the antiarrhythmic Dronedarone, the antiepileptic Lacosamide, and the GLP-1 analogue Liraglutide, which all represent the first members of new drug substance classes. Along with these additions, the entries for Azelastine, Dexrazoxane and Teriparatide have also been updated.
Compiled by renowned leaders in the field, in association with InfoChem and FIZ Chemie, the online version of the information resource is a web-based, easy-to-navigate portal that utilises standard browser technology. The user-friendly interface enables users to rapidly locate data and graphically search structures.
