Thieme Publishers, part of STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, has announced the release of the Teaching Atlas of Vascular and Nonvascular Interventional Radiology. The new addition to the Teaching Atlas series is seen as an invaluable resource for residents and fellows as well as experienced radiologists and specialists in endovascular surgery.

The book, authored by Dr. Brian Funaki, Dr. Jonathan M. Lorenz and Dr. Thuong Van Ha, covers essential points of both vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology. The comprehensive, case-based atlas is expected to help readers enhance their knowledge of interventional management. Presenting 75 cases, it covers basic and advanced procedures in vascular and interventional radiology.

Special features include 'Pearls' and 'Pitfalls,' which highlight important teaching points and provide tips on how to successfully manage critical aspects of each procedure. Another noteworthy feature of the atlas is the real-word insights that describe the management of various conditions such as peripheral vascular disease, portal hypertension, gastrointestinal hemorrhage and cancer.
