Thieme's Anatomy on the Go flash cards made available as iPhone app -

Scientific and medical publisher Thieme Medical Publishers, Inc., US, has announced that its Anatomy on the Go flash cards are now available as an iPhone application. In the two weeks immediately following its release, the anatomy flash cards app reportedly broke the Top Ten in the paid medical and top grossing app rankings, and remains a strong seller.

The flash cards are based on the Atlas of Anatomy, co-edited by Anne Gilroy, Brian MacPherson and Lawrence Ross. The native app for iPhone and iPod touch was developed by Modality, Inc.

Designed for self-testing, reference and patient education, the app has already received numerous positive customer reviews, according to the company. Anatomy on the Go also offers features such as multi-touch user interface navigation through 367 full-colour annotated images; custom pin-point and structure labeling; quiz mode to test mastery of must-know anatomy; bookmarking to provide quick reference in clinical settings or course review sessions; index to quickly locate any structure in the app; study mode for image and annotation browsing; and instant access to additional online resources like Google and Wikipedia.

The Anatomy on the Go App is available from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
