The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters recognised the most highly cited Mexican researchers across 25 universities in the areas of Science and Social Sciences/Arts & Humanities at a recently held award ceremony at the Castillo de Chapultepec. This event is part of the Thomson Reuters partnership with the Consortium of Mexican Universities (CUMex), a joint initiative to further education and international collaboration in research.
The award recognises excellence in research and successful international collaboration. Analysis of the research candidates across the 25 universities was done using Thomson Reuters Web of Science. The seven highly cited researchers were identified after analysing their papers that were indexed over 20 years in the categories of ‘Science’ and ‘Social Sciences/Arts & Humanities’ and who have the largest number of citations to their paper, locally and internationally.
