The Scientific business of Thomson Reuters, US, has announced that ISI Web of Knowledge and EndNote Web are now available in Simplified Chinese. The user-friendly interface provides every step, from research and analysis to submission and publishing, in the local language.
China is seen to be at the forefront of research in Asia Pacific. Making ISI Web of Knowledge available in local language is expected to increase the efficiency and productivity of researchers in China and internationally alike as they collaborate to advance global science.
ISI Web of Knowledge is an integrated research platform that delivers access to diversified scholarly information in the sciences, social sciences and arts and humanities, as well as search and analysis tools that enhance this content. It provides users the ability to search the right content and find relevant information - whether that information is found in international journals, open access resources, books, patents, proceedings or websites.
EndNote Web makes organising and citing references a simple task so users at any level can concentrate on their content. The new design, complementary to ISI Web of Knowledge, is the result of researching how users work with technology to deliver an effortless experience.
In a recent announcement, the Turkish Government's Scientific and Technological Research Organization's (TUBITAK) R&D Facility Institute, The Turkish Academic Network and Information Centre (ULAKBIM), signed a three year contract with the Scientific business of Thomson Reuters for the ISI Web of Knowledge platform. Under the deal, the science, social science, and arts and humanities citation indexes on the ISI Web of Knowledge platform will be made available to all Turkish and TR of Cyprus Universities as well as Ministry of Health Training and Research Hospitals to help foster academic advancement.
