Information solutions provider Thomson Scientific, part of Thomson Corporation, US, has announced the promotion of Marian Hollingsworth to the role of Director of Publisher Relations. She will report directly to Jim Testa, senior director, Editorial Development.
Prior to this, Hollingsworth was manager, Publisher Relations since she joined Thomson Scientific in 2000. In her expanded role as Director, she will be responsible for communications with publishers regarding coverage of publications and journal metrics.
Before working at Thomson, Hollingsworth was assistant director at National Federation of Abstracting and Information Services, an association of database producers and information service providers. Her career includes over 20 years of management experience in academic, special and public libraries.
