Tim Inglis named editor-in-chief of the Journal of Medical Microbiology -

Tim Inglis has been appointed the new Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Microbiology. Tim is stepping up from his role as the journal’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief.

Tim is currently Head of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Western Australia, a Medical Microbiologist with the state pathology service, PathWest Laboratory Medicine and is a contributing member of the Australian Public Health Laboratory Network (PHLN).

Since joining the Journal of Medical Microbiology, Tim Inglis also led the Coronastream blog series on the Microbiology Society website, which summarized research published in the Society’s journals essential for informing COVID-19 countermeasures.

Journal of Medical Microbiology is the go-to interdisciplinary journal for medical, dental and veterinary microbiology, at the bench and in the clinic. The journal welcomes articles ranging from laboratory research to clinical trials, including bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology to ensure comprehensive coverage of medical, dental and veterinary microbiology and infectious diseases.
