Trinity University has announced its partnership with PeerJ by joining the Annual Institutional Memberships (AIMs) program, furthering its commitment to open access (OA) publishing. This initiative will allow Trinity-affiliated authors to publish their research in any PeerJ journal without incurring Article Processing Charges (APCs), significantly broadening the accessibility of their scholarly work.
Under this new arrangement, any corresponding or submitting author with a valid Trinity University email address will automatically qualify for the benefits of the AIMs program when submitting to PeerJ. For those affiliated with Trinity but using a different email address, access to the membership benefits can be obtained by contacting PeerJ directly at authors@peerj.com.
The Coates Library at Trinity University has been instrumental in facilitating this partnership, recognizing the importance of making scholarly works widely accessible.
The PeerJ AIMs program offers a streamlined and cost-effective solution for institutions looking to support OA publishing. With this membership, researchers at Trinity University can publish without worrying about APCs, and librarians can eliminate the administrative burden of handling payments on a per-article basis.
Faculty members are encouraged to contact the library for more information about Trinity University's support of PeerJ and other open access initiatives. The PeerJ page has additional details about the PeerJ AIMs program and its benefits for Trinity authors, along with a helpful video overview.
This partnership marks a significant step in Trinity University's ongoing efforts to promote open access publishing and make academic research more widely available to the global community.
