In August, the first issue of Volume 31 of Tsinghua Science and Technology was released on SciOpen, the academic publishing platform developed by Tsinghua University Press. This marked a new chapter for the journal’s independent operation.
Tsinghua Science and Technology is the first English-language journal in natural sciences sponsored by Tsinghua University and is published by Tsinghua University Press. The journal is led by Professor Sun Jiaguang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as Editor-in-Chief. In 2011, the journal was restructured to focus on information science and, over more than a decade, has expanded its academic influence, drawing increasing international submissions and readers across more than 130 countries and regions.
SciOpen was launched by Tsinghua University Press in June 2022 as an international digital publishing platform for scientific journals. To date, the platform hosts more than 58,000 articles from 195+ journals. It serves users in over 190 countries and regions, providing the technology and distribution capacity to support the journal’s growth and global dissemination.
The journal will continue highlighting cutting-edge research and emerging trends in information science as it advances the field.
