Digital preservation specialist Portico has announced that The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) will preserve e-journals with Portico, ensuring that they will be secure and available into the future.
TÜBİTAK is an agency that supports management, funding, and research in Turkey, established in 1963. TÜBİTAK is responsible for promoting, developing, organising, conducting and coordinating research and development in line with national targets and priorities.
In a related announcement, Portico has announced a preservation deal with Irish Medical Journal, ensuring that they will be secure and available into the future. Irish Medical Journal (founded in 1867 under the name the Journal of the Medical Association of Ireland) is a peer-reviewed medical journal, published by the Irish Medical Organisation.
