Technical information provider UBM Electronics, a UBM company, has announced the appointment of electrical engineering and communications expert Rich Pell as Executive Editor of EDN and Designlines. In his new position, Pell will be responsible for collaborating with editorial, marketing, and web development to grow EDN and Designlines as well as the development of the EDN website redesign.
Prior to UBM Electronics, Pell was a freelance technical editor for UBM's Audio Designline and helped launch and currently still runs Embedded Internet Designline. Earlier in his career Pell held a variety of editorial positions with Hearst Business Media and was the editor in chief of Electronic Products Magazine and its related website.
Pell will be based in UBM Electronics' Manhasset, NY office and will report to Patrick Mannion, Content Director for EDN and Designlines, UBM Electronics.
