Knowledge management solutions provider Unbound Medicine, US, and healthcare publisher F.A. Davis Company, US, have announced the expansion of their partnership with the relaunch of Taber's Online. The Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary website is now powered by the Unbound Platform.
The new site, www.tabers.com, gives users a clean, modern, dynamic, and powerful interface for searching or browsing the extensive content that has made Taber's one of the most popular healthcare dictionaries for more than 65 years. The utility and educational value of its 56,000 terms, 700 illustrations, 60 appendices, and 2,500 audio pronunciations are enhanced by 'sounds-like' searching, cross-linking, and customisable bookmarks. Access to Taber's Online is included with purchase of the print dictionary and is available separately.
Additional features include a 'Word of the Day' RSS feed, a site preview capability that allows visitors to experience the full functionality of Taber's Online prior to subscribing, and one-click searching of dictionary terms in Unbound MEDLINE, the powerful yet intuitive gateway to 17 million medical journal articles.
