Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has announced that the Università Carlo Cattaneo (LIUC) has selected the Ex Libris EsploroTM research services solution to simplify the management of the university’s research output and the tracking of research performance.
Facilitating a variety of research management tasks including the enhancement of research object metadata, the deposit of materials, and the updating of scholarly profiles, Esploro will enable the university to increase research effectiveness. Publications managed in Esploro will be published to the Italian Ministry for Education, Universities and Research database (MIUR – Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca).
Esploro will support a unique collaboration between the library and the research office. With the Ex Libris higher-ed platform already in use at LIUC, including the Alma® library services platform and the Ex Libris Leganto® course reading list solution, the move to Esploro will also strengthen the connection between the library and research activities. This change will help fulfill a strategic goal of the institution, enabling library staff to leverage their skills and technology in support of research processes.
