Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the Universitat Politècnica de València, a customer of Ex Libris Aleph® since 2000, has chosen the Ex Libris Alma® resource management service and Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution to help the library meet its strategic goals of improving the library's efficiency, modernising services, and transforming physical spaces to enhance the research experience at the University. The migration to Alma and Primo will help the library realise its vision of modernising its services and streamlining workflows.
As part of its modernisation program, the library plans to reorganise its work processes to avoid the duplication of tasks and to improve collection management by consolidating the systems and processes used in various collections. In addition, the library looks forward to saving on costs by moving from locally managed hardware and services to a cloud-based solution.
