Library technology solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense has selected the Primo discovery and delivery service, the Primo Central Index of scholarly e-resources, and the SFX link resolver for its research community. A long-standing Ex Libris customer, Université Paris Ouest opted for the company's suite of discovery products to improve the end-user experience at its three associated libraries - the Service Commun de Documentation (SCD), an umbrella organization for the university's libraries; Bibliothèque de Documentation Internationale Contemporaine (BDIC); and Maison Archéologie et Ethnologie, René-Ginouvès (MAE).
Looking for a solution that would enable the SCD and affiliated libraries to offer their own institutional view, search parameters, and customized relevance ranking, the University found that Primo meets all these requirements.
With about 30,000 students, teachers, researchers, and employees, Paris Ouest claims to be one of the most important French universities and offers a broad range of multidisciplinary programs. The university is known for its innovative, dynamic, and internationally open-minded educational style.
