University of Massachusetts Lowell enables open access publishing in Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press journals -

The University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML) has announced that, effective January 2026, researchers affiliated with the institution can publish open access in gold or hybrid open access journals published by Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press without paying Article Processing Charges (APCs).

This benefit is part of two new subscriptions that provide access to the full library of journals from Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press. The agreements add 951 journal titles to the UML Library’s collection.

The new subscriptions join several agreements already in place with other journal publishers. These include the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Company of Biologists (COB), the Institute of Physics (IOP), and Wiley.

Guidelines for publishing open access with these publishers are available on the Library Support for Publishing webpage.
