The Hesburgh Libraries at the University of Notre Dame will implement FOLIO as their new Library Services Platform (LSP), supported by EBSCO Information Services. The transition to the open-source system is expected to be completed by summer 2026.
EBSCO will provide implementation support, including technical consulting, training, and systems integration, to help the university utilize FOLIO’s modular architecture. The new platform is intended to improve library operations and enhance research services through greater flexibility and interoperability.
The decision reflects Notre Dame’s commitment to advancing its library infrastructure to better serve faculty, students, researchers, and staff. The open-source framework of FOLIO aligns with the university’s goal to deliver adaptable, user-focused library services while fostering broader collaboration across the research community.
