Library automation solutions provider, Ex Libris Group, has announced that the University of Oklahoma Libraries, along with libraries at the Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, and University of Oklahoma College of Law, have selected the Ex Libris Alma library management solution. Chosen after a thorough evaluation of commercial solutions, Alma will replace SirsiDynix Symphony® and EBSCONET® ERM Essentials® systems.
The University of Oklahoma (OU) Libraries adopted the Ex Libris Primo® discovery solution in 2013. With the addition of Alma, the unified management of resources will be integrated with unified discovery for users. Fully cloud based, Alma will remove technical burdens for staff members and enable them to implement automated, cross-collection workflows. With Alma the libraries will standardise on a single platform, facilitating collaboration and streamlining the provision of services to students, faculty, and researchers.
Ex Libris provides efficient, user-friendly products that serve the needs of libraries today and will facilitate their transition into the future. Dedicated to developing creative solutions in close collaboration with customers, Ex Libris enables libraries to maximise productivity and efficiency and, at the same time, greatly enhance the user experience. By empowering users to discover and obtain the information they need, libraries ensure their position as the bridge to knowledge.
