University of the Sunshine Coast selects Ex Libris cloud solutions -

Library automation services provider Ex Libris Group, has announced that the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) in Australia has selected the Ex Libris Alma next-generation resource management solution and the Primo discovery and delivery solution. Alma and Primo will replace a number of systems, including the Virtua integrated library system and the EBSCO discovery service.

USC carried out a major evaluation of the available library management and discovery systems before selecting Ex Libris cloud-based solutions. Primo and Alma were found to be the only options that could provide the automated end-to-end workflow efficiencies, powerful systems integration, and flexible reporting and analytics solution that USC was looking for. The ability to consolidate three legacy systems into a single cloud-based platform will also enable the Library to reduce its technical and systems management overheads. The large and active Ex Libris user community, both in Australia and New Zealand and worldwide, was a further incentive for USC in their decision.
