The University of Toronto Press (UTP), Canada’s largest university press, has announced an innovative partnership with Canadian Science Publishing (CSP), the country’s largest independent science publisher. This collaboration is set to launch a new science book publishing program that will leverage CSP's expertise in scientific publishing and UTP's extensive experience in producing landmark scholarship.
The new science book list will focus on addressing some of the most critical scientific questions of our time. Key areas of focus include Arctic science and climate, biodiversity and conservation science, and ocean health and aquatic sciences. With CSP’s rich history of supporting Canada’s research community through science monographs and reference books, this partnership aims to strengthen the integrity, relevance, and impact of essential knowledge and research both in Canada and globally.
The collaboration will make these books available to a broad audience, ensuring that critical scientific knowledge reaches researchers, policymakers, and the public worldwide. The initiative reflects both UTP’s and CSP’s commitment to advancing knowledge and supporting the scientific community.
The new science book publishing program will begin releasing titles in the coming year, contributing to the global discourse on critical environmental and scientific issues. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the dissemination of scientific knowledge, reinforcing Canada’s role as a leader in environmental research and scholarly publishing.
