Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the University of Verona has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution. The university will be migrating from the Ex Libris Aleph® integrated library system (ILS).
The library team at Verona currently has numerous separate workflows, which causes complexity in the management of their work processes. The situation is further complicated by the library’s use of additional software for link resolution and resource recommendations, and the need to support and maintain such software.
Alma and Primo will provide the university with a unified platform that will make it easier for users to search the library’s resources and for staff members to follow up on personalised resource recommendations. The integrated, shared workflows that will become available through the platform will streamline operations at Verona and reduce data redundancy, while the advanced analytics and benchmarking features will help the library’s managers make better-informed decisions.
