Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the United Kingdom's University of Wolverhampton has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform, Primo® discovery and delivery solution, and LegantoTM course reading list solution. The university library will be migrating from the Capita Alto library management system and integrating the Leganto solution with Wolverhampton's virtual learning environment and student portal to improve pathways to course readings.
Wolverhampton plans to take advantage of the solutions' sophisticated analytics to optimize the library collections so that they will better support the needs of the students and academic staff, while integrated workflows will increase library efficiency. The openness of the Ex Libris solutions will also enable the library to implement radio-frequency identification technology, thereby increasing self-service for printed materials, streamlining library tasks, and enabling the library to extend its opening hours.
Having listened to student feedback on the learning resources provided, it is expected that investment in a new digital library system including Ex Libris Alma, Primo, and Leganto will completely transform the university's library services.
