University Press Redux Conference 2024 unveils full programme: 'Connecting People and Ideas' -

The highly anticipated University Press Redux Conference 2024 has launched its full programme, promising an engaging and insightful event focused on 'Connecting People and Ideas'. Returning as an in-person gathering, the conference is set to take place this May in partnership with Edinburgh University Press (EUP), as part of EUP’s 75th anniversary celebrations. Hosted at the John McIntyre Conference Centre, The University of Edinburgh, UK, the event will bring together experts and professionals from the academic publishing community.

The programme of Redux 2024 covers a wide array of critical topics, including open access, sustainability, metadata, collaboration, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), among others. With sessions dedicated to building community, exploring open access pilot schemes, discussing sustainability in publishing, and addressing issues of accessibility and diversity, the conference aims to foster meaningful discussions and drive positive change within the academic publishing landscape.

Among the highlights of the conference are keynote speeches from esteemed speakers. Amina Shah, National Librarian and Chief Executive of the National Library of Scotland, will deliver the opening keynote on 'The Role of Libraries in Connecting People and Ideas', while Jenny Garrett, OBE, Coach & Leadership Development Consultant at Jenny Garrett Global, will conclude the event with her keynote address on 'Equality vs Equity'.

Attendees can look forward to engaging with speakers and panelists, networking with peers, and gaining practical insights to apply in their professional endeavors.
