Vasont Systems launches Version 12.2 of Vasont Content Management System -

Content management software and data services provider Vasont Systems, US, has announced the release of the next interim version of their content management system, Vasont 12.2. The latest version enables users to store multilingual content once for maximum reuse and delivery to multiple channels.

New features provide terminology management, content branching, and additional reporting capabilities. The Controlled Vocabulary feature allows organisations to manage the terminology used in their documentation by defining ‘allowed terms’ to be used and ‘restricted terms’ to be avoided. The Revisions feature is a branching capability that allows users to track and manage changes to modular content in relation to its original source content. This feature makes it easy for clients to work on multiple versions of their content simultaneously. The Content Exception Report feature allows users to avoid taking action on content before it is approved and complete. It is particularly useful for identifying items that may interfere with publishing, and may also be used for diagnosing referenced modular content with specific criteria, such as draft status and specific edit dates.

Vasont 12.2 focuses on enhancing productivity for writers managing modular content using DITA, other industry-standard and custom DTDs. This interim release provides more tools for clients to better manage their editorial and publishing processes. It is currently available for both the perpetual license and hosted (SaaS) content management system models.
