Web of Conferences launches new journal collection: Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal -

Web of Conferences has announced the launch of a new journal collection, Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal, in collaboration with the Institut Pascal at Université Paris Saclay. The purpose of this collection is to provide a platform for publishing white papers associated with the thematic programmes organized by the Institut Pascal.

The Institut Pascal's thematic programmes attract renowned scientists and PhD students from around the world, providing them with an opportunity to delve deeper into the latest advancements in their respective research fields. The Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal will serve as a record of the scientific discussions and findings that emerge during these programmes.

The inaugural publication in the collection, titled "Reimagine Physics Teaching: a workshop designed to sparkle exchanges and creativity," showcases the outcomes of a workshop held at the Institut Pascal in May 2022. Interested readers can access the publication on the collection's website. The concept of creating a dedicated collection was initially proposed in 2020, and after extensive discussions and planning, the project scope was finalized in November 2022. Within a span of just six months, the collection has become a reality.

The Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal collection operates independently from other Web of Conferences publications and incorporates certain features commonly found in traditional journals. The collection includes an Editorial Board, currently chaired by Yves Balkanski from CEA and Institut Pascal at Université Paris-Saclay. Each Cahier resembles a journal article, complete with authors, an abstract, keywords, references, and a DOI registered through Crossref indexation. Readers can sign up for free email alerts to stay updated on the latest Cahiers published in the collection.

The launch of the Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal collection exemplifies how Web of Conferences supports organizations in fulfilling their missions by providing an online space to showcase and archive their events, conference proceedings, publications, and other valuable resources in an accessible and visually appealing manner.

Solange Guéhot, Publishing Editor at EDP Sciences, expressed her delight in collaborating on this innovative journal collection, emphasizing the importance of meeting individual needs and requests. EDP Sciences welcomes proposals from learned societies, research institutes, universities, and scientific associations, as their collections continue to evolve to cater to diverse publishing requirements.

The Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal collection not only provides a platform for the publication of white papers but also contributes to the dissemination of valuable scientific knowledge, facilitating collaboration and engagement within the research community.
