With over 5 million downloads since launching WebMD for iPhone and iPad, the release of WebMD for Android is the latest move by WebMD to meet increasing consumer demand for its trusted health information.
WebMD for Android seeks to help consumers in their decision-making and health improvement efforts by providing 24/7 access to mobile-optimised health information and decision-support tools, including WebMD's Symptom Checker, Drugs & Treatments, First Aid Information and Local Health Listings. It incorporates the new voice search functionality by providing users with voice activated search for information on a health condition, drug, treatment or first aid topic.
WebMD for Android can be found by searching for WebMD at the Android Market www.android.com/market/ or by typing 'mobile' at WebMD.com.
