Wendy Queen, Director of Project MUSE, a division of Johns Hopkins University Press, officially joins the Association of University Presses Board, having been elected in May 2022 at their Annual Business Meeting and officially announced today.
With a background in the humanities and a Masters in Information Arts and Technologies, Wendy began her career focusing on the intersection of human interaction and technology. She first joined Project MUSE in a technical role, and through the years and many positions at MUSE, her leadership and contributions have led to innovative business models and a seamless reader experience for the benefit of the scholarly community.
Wendy has served on boards and committees for COUNTER, AAP, CrossRef, NISO, OAeBU, and ALPSP. She also serves on the Scholarly Communications Group at Johns Hopkins University and is a member of the executive leadership at Hopkins Press. Wendy has served as a PI on grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the NEH, as well as served as an advisor and reviewer of grant proposals.
