Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced an agreement to launch a new online publication, Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews Climate Change. The publication is a collaborative project with the Royal Meteorological Society and the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG).
The Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews (WIREs) are hybrid publications that combine the most powerful features of traditional reference works and review journals in an innovative online format. WIREs Climate Change will complement the global publisher's already existing activities in the area of geographical research and knowledge transfer to policy.
Slated for launch in 2010, WIREs Climate Change will be developed under the editorship of Professor Mike Hulme, Founding Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of East Anglia. The online resource will cover a broad range of topics including climate modelling, climate economics, climate change mitigation, and the ecological impacts of climate change.
