Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced latest updates to its online learning and reference product - Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures (RMM). The publisher partnered with online publishing solutions provider Semantico Ltd to launch the latest updates to the product.
The online version of RMM, created for Wiley-Blackwell by Semantico, extends the usefulness of the print editions by employing User Generated Content (UGC) to enable local trusts to add their own Trust-specific procedure guidelines. Users can comment on procedures in the manual and add extra information which carries their attribution and contact details. A sophisticated back-end puts control and workflow in the hands of the individual Trust, enabling administrators to manage the workflow process and set their own schedules for review.
The RMM is regarded as the standard reference on nursing good practice, widely used also in training.
