Wiley has announced plans to significantly expand the Advanced Portfolio into life, health, and social sciences disciplines, including the launch of eight new journals by the end of 2026 and additional titles in the following years. The expansion will provide researchers in life, health, and social sciences with additional high-impact venues for publishing their work.
The Advanced Portfolio currently encompasses more than 25 high-impact scientific journal titles. The expansion is designed to make publishing easier through a streamlined, collaborative approach and reflects a commitment to accelerate science that addresses humanity’s most pressing challenges across a wide range of disciplines.
Advanced Oncology is among the first new journals scheduled to launch and will open for submissions next month. In support of the research community, Wiley's Advanced Portfolio is co-sponsoring the MD Anderson Cancer and Neuroscience Symposium taking place February 19 and 20 in Houston, bringing together leading researchers to advance discussions shaping the future of health and life sciences.
Additional new titles will be announced soon, including journals spanning diverse fields at the intersection of human health, neuroscience, technology, and society. The Advanced Portfolio is anchored by the flagship interdisciplinary journal Advanced Science and Advanced Materials. Its editorial approach, built on close collaboration between authors and editors, has earned the trust of the materials science community for more than three decades. The expansion enables researchers across scientific disciplines to access the same publishing experience.
The portfolio offers a submission process in which authors submit their work once and professional editors work across journals to determine the best fit, eliminating unnecessary resubmission and reformatting cycles. Two Advanced journals focused on artificial intelligence—Advanced Intelligent Discovery and Advanced Robotics Research—were added last year, and Advanced Chemical Engineering opened to submissions last month.
