Wiley expands spectral databases with new IR, Raman, LC-MS, and SmartSpectra data -

Wiley has released additional IR, Raman, LC-MS, and SmartSpectra data to its spectral libraries, significantly expanding compound coverage and increasing the total collection to more than 9.5 million spectra.

The update broadens the company’s empirical and SmartSpectra collections, adding new data across techniques used for compound identification and analytical verification. The expansion includes updates to established resources such as the Sadtler IR and Raman libraries as well as new SmartSpectra entries that extend coverage to compounds that have not yet been physically measured. The combined collections now offer researchers access to more than 1 million IR spectra and over 161,000 Raman spectra, with the Sadtler Libraries available exclusively through the KnowItAll platform.

Subscribers automatically receive the updated data, ensuring research teams have current reference materials designed to support more accurate analysis, reduce errors, and increase productivity.

Wiley’s spectral databases now span IR, MS, NMR, Raman, and UV-Vis techniques, providing millions of high-quality spectra used in interpreting, identifying, verifying, and classifying compounds. These resources support a wide range of applications, including pharmaceuticals, environmental science, forensics, materials research, and food safety, where comprehensive spectral references are essential for confident analytical decision-making.
