Wiley launches new open access journal - Health Science Reports -

Publisher John Wiley and Sons, Inc. has announced the launch of a new open access journal, Health Science Reports. Dedicated to providing exceptional author service through swift evaluation of existing reviews, Health Science Reports will publish peer-reviewed scientifically sound research across the entire spectrum of the medical and clinical sciences. The journal is now open for submissions.

Wiley's health sciences portfolio typically attracts more authors and articles than can be published in highly selective journals. With this new initiative, Wiley seeks to provide greater choice for authors who wish to publish their research in a world-class medical journal, and to improve health through the publication of important research. Working with Editors of Wiley-published journals including Helicobacter, CNS Neuroscience and Therapeutics, Molecular Carcinogenesis, Bipolar Disorders, Contact Dermatitis and many more, Health Science Reports will extend Wiley's open access options to provide a new home for sound health research and deliver a high-quality, rapid publication service for authors.

Dedicated to developing an invaluable resource for researchers, practitioners, clinicians and patients, Health Science Reports aims to improve the efficiency of the peer-review workflow, while making a real contribution to the improvement of global health outcomes. The Journal welcomes submissions of all study types including but not limited to protocols, reviews, clinical perspectives and meta-analyses.

Health Science Reports features an Advisory Board of medical and clinical experts, led by Dr Charles Young, founding Editor in Chief for Clinical Case Reports.

Health Science Reports will offer authors a choice of Creative Commons licenses including CC BY. Authors with open access mandates from funders will be fully compliant when publishing with this journal. Authors affiliated with, or funded by, an organisation that has a Wiley Open Access Account may be eligible for support with article publication charges.
