Wiley launches the Wiley Researcher Academy, helps scientific researchers get published -

Publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced the launch of a comprehensive research publishing learning program, the Wiley Researcher Academy, unique in testing knowledge and understanding.

Encapsulating the entire publishing process, the Wiley Researcher Academy is an important support tool, establishing the skills needed to successfully publish research, collaborate and mentor.

The program has been created, developed and is launched by a global network of journal editors and industry experts with Dr Andrew Moore as Editor-in-Chief. Contributors include: Dr Bernd Pulverer, Head of Scientific Publications & Chief Editor, EMBO Journal; Dr Margaret Cargill, Adjunct Senior Lecturer, University of Adelaide; Dr Oliver Renn, Head of Science Communication, ETH Zurich.

It has been developed to offer an efficient, effective means to make high-quality training on research skills, writing and publishing available to early to mid-level career researchers at universities, academic and R&D institutions and organisations interested in publishing research. The Wiley Researcher Academy provides investment in the future advancement of science and technology and the future growth and sustainability of the global knowledge economy.

The Wiley Researcher Academy is a comprehensive, online, institutionally scalable, researcher training program, pedagogically designed to deliver effective learning in a digital environment. The program delivers 14 modules covering areas such as best practices, processes and trends which are key for researchers to understand to be successful in research and publishing. In addition, researchers can access interactive community spaces to facilitate networking and collaboration. Designed in collaboration with learning experts, it boasts a didactically-conceived assessment structure that tracks participant performance and progress.
