As a global leader in education and research, Wiley is helping aid the global community by supporting students, educators, researchers and professionals who are contending with the increasing impact of COVID-19.
As a growing number of schools are being affected by COVID-19, Wiley is aiming to ensure instructors who need to teach remotely have the necessary tools to help their students. Instructors without an adopted online learning solution, such as WileyPLUS, Knewton Alta or zyBooks, can receive free access for their students for the remainder of the Spring 2020 term. For current WileyPLUS and Knewton Alta instructors, Customer Success Specialists are equipped to provide additional support, including extension of due dates, adjusting assignments or increasing the capacity to work remotely.
Wiley Education Services is offering expanded partner support, which includes providing additional technology licenses and assistance with course production and associated LMS support. Beginning next week, Advancement Courses is providing a free micro-course (Launching Online Learning) for K-12 educators to quickly ramp-up online learning in their environment. And to make the adaptation to online learning as easy as possible, Wiley is providing free resources and webinars for all instructors.
Wiley has made more than 5,000 COVID-19 related articles freely available in support of the global efforts in its diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Last month, Wiley joined Wellcome Trust in the commitment to ensuring rapid access to COVID-19 research. The company continues to partner with those in the research community aiding in the global response. Wiley’s COVID-19 related articles are hosted on an enhanced Wiley Online Library site. Additionally, Scitrus, powered by Atypon's AI-driven personalised discovery application, launched a free, real-time feed of the latest research and news on COVID-19.
As professionals navigate working remotely, many are without preparation or guidance about how to make that switch seamlessly. This month, Wiley will provide free eBook access to the bestselling title, The Year Without Pants, by Scott Berkun, detailing his transition to leading a remote team and navigating a work-from-home culture. Other useful resources recommended by Wiley that can help professionals stay connected and productive remotely include: Projects Without Boundaries: Successfully Leading Teams and Managing Projects in a Virtual World, Virtual Teams For Dummies, and The Power of Virtual Distance: A Guide to Productivity and Happiness in the Age of Remote Work.
Wiley drives the world forward with research and education. Through publishing, platforms and services, Wiley helps students, researchers, universities, and corporations to achieve their goals in an ever-changing world.
