Wiley-VCH, the German subsidiary of publisher John Wiley & Sons, US, has announced the launch of the Journal of Biophotonics. The journal is claimed to be the first international scientific journal for the publication of reviews and original articles on the entire field of biophotonics.
An interdisciplinary publication, Journal of Biophotonics will cover a wide range of biophotonics research including laser physics, medical applications, spectroscopic methods, and microbiological research. In addition, the journal is the first to publish original articles from the field and will serve as an important platform for reviews.
The journal is available both in print and online via Wiley's online publishing platform, Wiley InterScience. The first issue is currently available online at http://www.biophotonics-journal.org. Further articles will be available at Wiley's EarlyView pre-print publication service. Complimentary online access is available to all institutions throughout 2008.
