Wiley-VCH, the German subsidiary of John Wiley & Sons, US, has announced publishing responsibility for Steel Research International, beginning January 2010. Wiley-VCH will publish the journal on behalf of Verlag Stahleisen, Steel Institute VDEh, Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung, The Austrian Society for Metallurgy and Materials ASME, Fédération Française de l’Acier and Jernkontoret (Sweden).
Steel Research International is a journal providing a forum for the publication of high-quality manuscripts in areas ranging from process metallurgy and metal forming to materials engineering as well as process control and testing. The emphasis is on steel and related metals and on materials involved in processing, such as refractories and slags.
The journal will appear with 12 issues a year and is available in print and online via Wiley’s online publishing platform, Wiley InterScience. The first issue will be available in January 2010. Further articles will be available through Wiley’s Early View pre-print publication service.
