Wolters Kluwer announces January 2015 release of OA journal - Transplantation Direct -

Global information services company Wolters Kluwer has announced the January 2015 release of Transplantation Direct, an open access journal created as a companion to Transplantation®, the official journal of The Transplantation Society. This journal is accepting manuscripts now at editorialmanager.com/txd.

Transplantation Direct, the latest fully open access journal from Wolters Kluwer's Lippincott Williams & Wilkins publishing portfolio, is an international portal for the rapid electronic publication of high-quality basic research and clinical studies related to the field of transplantation. Submissions will be peer-reviewed by leaders within The Transplantation Society to create an online repository of significant, high quality research. As a complementary journal to Transplantation, Transplantation Direct will provide an open access venue for research studies sponsored by private and public funding agencies that require open access publication.

Article types published in Transplantation Direct include standard original basic or clinical science articles; brief preliminary reports on experimental or clinical findings; clinical trial protocols of special high interest; new methodologies and technical papers; articles proposing novel, as yet untested, hypotheses; articles stemming from current research affiliated with TTS-associated societies; publication of registry reports; and commentaries.

Transplantation Direct will provide rapid review and publication of accepted papers; all articles and content are published under the Creative Commons License Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivative 3.0 License (CCBY-NC-ND).
