Wolters Kluwer Health has introduced the Lippincott Open Access India APC Advantage Pilot as part of its Open Access strategy for medical research in India. The initiative establishes an India-focused Open Access program through the Lippincott publishing portfolio, which is described as globally recognized and intended to support the international presence of Indian medical research.
According to the statement, the Lippincott Open Access India APC Advantage Pilot is designed to create a responsible publishing pathway that enables Indian clinicians, academicians, and early-career medical researchers to publish work that meets international standards.
The initiative was also described as supporting India’s research ecosystem while maintaining peer review, editorial governance, and ethical publishing standards. The program is intended to support the global dissemination of medical research from India and contribute to evidence-based healthcare.
The program is based on a curated portfolio of Open Access and hybrid journals that include titles with established editorial leadership, recognized Impact Factors, and international readership across medicine, clinical specialties, biomedical science, and allied health disciplines. The initiative is described as focusing on quality, relevance, and credibility rather than high-volume Open Access publishing models.
Through peer review, editorial governance, and established publishing standards combined with broader accessibility, the program is intended to support clinical impact, research integrity, and global visibility. Institutions participating in Wolters Kluwer’s Open Access program will have access to a dissemination platform for medical and healthcare research produced in India.
The Lippincott Open Access India APC Advantage Pilot is intended to support clinicians, academicians, and early-career researchers in publishing medical research that contributes to clinical practice, education, and health policy.
