Wolters Kluwer webinar explores the impact of new technologies on nursing education -

Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading provider of clinical technology and evidence-based solutions, is set to host an insightful online event that will bring together nursing leaders to discuss the implications of new technologies in nursing education. Titled 'Achieving academic excellence in nursing with new technologies: An Ovid® Synthesis webinar,' the webinar will take place on Tuesday, June 13th from 2 to 3 pm ET.

As new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), continue to revolutionize various industries, the healthcare sector is also witnessing their rapid adoption. To better understand the opportunities and challenges associated with these emerging technologies in research, evidence-based practice (EBP), and quality improvement (QI), Wolters Kluwer Health is organizing this webinar.

The webinar aims to address the challenges faced by faculty and nursing students in utilizing new technologies, with a specific focus on the potential applications of generative AI in research, EBP, and QI projects. Additionally, the expert panel will shed light on how Ovid Synthesis, a research repository offered by Wolters Kluwer, can support a learning environment that fosters independent critical thinking and academic integrity.

The distinguished panel of experts participating in the webinar includes Marilyn H. Oermann, PhD, RN, ANEF, FAAN, Thelma M. Ingles Professor of Nursing at Duke University School of Nursing and Editor-in-Chief of Nurse Educator; Grace H. Sun, MSN, NP, Associate Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center; Stephanie H. Hoelscher, DNP, RN-BC, CPHIMS, CHISP, FHIMSS, Associate Professor of Graduate Informatics and an Informatics Nurse Specialist at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center; and Shea Polancich, PhD, RN, Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. The webinar will be hosted by Rachel Dicker, Product Management Associate Director at Wolters Kluwer, Health Learning, Research & Practice.
